I loved it so much after only a few hours into it I bought three more copies for my girlfriend and my two best friends. Seriously worth it. I was cackling when Kyle and Charlie showed up. Hilarious, heart warming, and very thoughtfully written. Though i got it on sale, its totally worth the full price. I just wish I could date all of the guys instead of just one! I love them all so much. Or at least Frankie and Kyle! My boys!!!. I really enjoyed playing this game! The art was good, the music was well placed, and it was well written. I wish it could have touched on the romance aspect a bit more, because what I did get I liked. It dealt with complicated issues in a manner that I felt was pretty respectful. There were some times when I was a little dubious, but there were no major issues. Honestly, the way it handled the main antagonist was much better than I was expecting. I kind of held my breath the entire way there in the first play through, and there were some routes I was more satisfied with how it was handled than others, but that's just part of playing a multi-ending visual novel. I enjoyed the voice the character was given and the chance to make so many choices. Normally it annoys me if there are many choices that don't really impact the outcome of the game, but it felt like it gave life to the protagonist and I liked that I didn't always have to agree with the boys to have them like me. A lot of this game builds up a friendly rapport and allows you to get comfortable with everyone before making a final choice. You also get to see a lot of interaction between characters outside the protagonist and their chosen love interest, which I enjoyed. I have some issues with the way Charlie was handled, but I think part of it is me wishing I enjoyed him more as a character. Personal opinion is that his was definitely the most lackluster route and the least satisfying. I was actually pretty annoyed with the way he handled his personal conflicts. TLDR: Overall, this is a great game, and I'd really recommend it. Good art, music, writing. Nice plot that delves into deeper issues pretty well. A lot of interaction with the characters, but not a lot of romance.Edit Edit: JK, apparently they all can confess and I was just consistently saying all the wrong things. So that pretty much clears that issue up.I get that the antagonist is handling things really poorly, but it just sort of bothers me that... there's no real way to help her move past it or feel better? Like, I understand why the narrative is the way it is. It's just, I wish that, because of all she's gone through, there was some real comfort for her at the end. And it really bothers me that the only ending where she gets that comfort is through like, continued male violence, and like... against her will. TLDR: Treating the antagonist nicer, all things considered, would really up my enjoyment of the game.. Cute and funny. 10/10. WAAAY better than I anticipated. The writing is clever, the dialogue feels natural and damn if ferret boy didn't weasel his way into my damn heart!!Wish there was a way to view the CGs after you've finished the game, however.. I was really excited for the release of this game like a month prior to its release today, and I was not disappointed with my first runthrough aimed at Edmund. At first it felt a bit slow trying to introduce all the characters, but as the story progresses, your dialogue and action choices start to create heavier impacts on the outcome of the game. Stuff happened, like 0-100 level action I'm not sure if it was my fault for being unconvincing with my dialogue choices or if it was going to happen no matter what I said, but I might've made one of the characters kill himself by running into a car, and I did start to cRY OH MY GOD WHY Also, the ending for me was really intense, and made me almost sabotage my entire playthrough's intended outcome. At the end, I was just like "What the heck am I doing with my life? My math teacher doesn't even make me think this hard about my choices." Overall, it was a great experience and I'm looking forward to discovering the secrets of the remaining routes and tweak the things I might've done wrong in my first playthrough.. One of the few $20 VNs that might actually be worth the price tag - depending on what you're looking for. My playthrough time of 8.4 hours is for one playthrough only, so it's a pretty long game. I'm used to VNs wrapping up in a much shorter amount of time. This is also one of the best written VNs I've ever played. I liked the protagonist because she felt like a real person, and all of the guys were fun and hilarious. Their interactions with each other were all spot on. SO MANY great jokes. The storyline was fairly compelling, not as straightforward or stereotypical as many games.The biggest downside, for me, is that romance plays a really minor role. It felt shoehorned in, unfortunately. As long as romance isn't the sole reason you're playing this for, you'll definitely enjoy it.
